Your workplace needs more WOW. Get ready for MHR's World of Work 2026
Introduction
People First integrates as standard with identity providers to enable users to log on using single sign on (SSO).
Supported identity providers
In order to keep people first information secure and only accessible to users with the correct authorisation, MHR certify chosen identity providers against People First and the People First iOS and Android Apps. With People First you can enable Single-Sign On (use your existing corporate username and passwords) if company uses any of the following identity providers:
- Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) Download pdf (800 KB)
- Google Download pdf (1 MB)
- Okta Download pdf (613 KB)
- FusionAuth
If your company does not own an identity provider, then as standard you will be able to use our own People First identity service.
Authentication Protocols
In order to enforce the highest standards of security and best user experience, People First products use the modern OAuth2 and OpenID Connect standards as the authentication and authorisation protocols which form the basis of People First security, therefore we require that identity providers implement these protocols. For more information see: OpenID Connect: https://openid.net/connect OAuth2: https://oauth.net/2/
People First SSO
To configure the identity provider links configuration is needed in PF and in IdP:
- partner portal config (People First) - Professional Services advice required
- customer IdP config - varies by provider
Using People First APIs to maintain users in Identity provider (IdP)
See the section on People - joiners, movers and leavers to help you build an integration of people data to your identity provider.
