Agrovista sows the seed for future growth with new HR system

Leading crop protection and agronomy firm Agrovista UK Ltd has laid the roots for future growth by partnering with HR and payroll industry experts MHR, aimed at modernising its processes to improve the management and development of its people.

MHR’s market-leading cloud-based iTrent software will help the Nottinghamshire-based company, which employs 345 employees across 22 depots throughout the UK, simplify the management of its workforce through the integration and automation of core functions including HR and payroll.

This will help Agrovista gain a holistic view of its people and perform management tasks from a single source, reducing administration time and generating cost savings.

The transition to iTrent will also see Agrovista adopt Talent Check-Ins, a platform that will enable them to replace annual appraisals with more frequent on-demand conversations about performance, job satisfaction and personal wellbeing.

Meanwhile, new self-service functionality will add to the user experience, empowering them to access and take ownership of their own personal data via mobile phone access.

Tracey Winson, head of HR at Agrovista says: “At Agrovista we’re committed to providing British farmers with quality solutions supported by the highest standards of service delivered by our highly trained and knowledgeable people.

“It is critical that our infrastructure keeps pace with our continued growth and that we deliver the tools and embrace new ways of working to improve the work experience of our people.

“iTrent delivers a one stop shop for our people. It will bring our processes right up to date with one point of secure storage which will reduce the need for additional documents to be completed and saved in different files, while the introduction of Talent Check-Ins and self-service capabilities will enable us to better engage with our people.

“It also provides the framework to support the ongoing personal development of our people by tracking and accurately recording the skill sets, qualifications and Continuing Professional Development points. This underlines our commitment to continually invest in the career progression of our people, aiding our ability to attract and retain top talent while ensuring customers receive up to date knowledge and technical expertise.

“We are currently making significant investments in our Academy and iTrent will be central to its success going forward.  Our vision is to establish a single portal where employees can access all things HR, payroll and L&D, and MHR’s experience and technical expertise will be key to achieving this.”

Anton Roe, CEO at MHR comments: “We are delighted to help a successful and ambitious company in Agrovista as it looks to future proof its systems and place its people at the heart of its growth strategy.

iTrent will empower Agrovista to manage its people like never before while providing the perfect platform to record and audit the continuous professional development of its people, which will add value to its customer service.”
