Integrations - Tax authorities

Introduction

Payroll systems need to produce the statutory returns to the relevant tax authorities detailing tax deductions from payroll and tax authorities may provide tax code data for employees to the payroll system.

 

People First and HMRC

People First as standard integrates with HMRC for UK tax purposes.

Government Gateway is used for EPS and FPS - there is an option to send to a test or live site. This is set in configuration area of People First payroll.

Data Provisioning Service (DPS) (HMRC download in People First) is called daily overnight, and automatically applies tax code updates to people. It creates 'To Dos' if there are errors. You can turn this on/off at tax office level in payroll configuration. You can configure how far back the download goes to pick up historic information.
