MHR announces partnership with charity organisation Rutland County Show

MHR International, the HR, payroll and finance expert and Rutland County Show are today announcing the signing of a three-year partnership, with MHR as one of the main sponsors.

The announcement comes ahead of the Rutland Jubilee County Show, taking place on Saturday 4th June 2022 at the Rutland Show Ground, Oakham, to mark the extended Platinum Jubilee weekend.

MHR’s involvement is reflective of the organisation’s ongoing commitment to supporting its local community and sustainability initiatives, with the one-day event focused on championing local farmers and producers. As well as livestock showings of cattle, sheep, goats and magnificent heavy horses, attendees will have the chance to admire the latest in cutting-edge farming equipment and machinery, plus a display of vintage vehicles. The event, which has been running 188 years, will also include family entertainment, a craft market and live music, along with children’s attractions and a range of local food and drink. A staple of the Rutland calendar, the show is returning for the first time in two years due to the pandemic, with the last event attracting over 12,000 visitors and playing host to over 100 trade stands and over 30 different types of entertainment.

MHR has existing strong ties with Rutland, with the business’s founder John Mills and wife Elizabeth Mills local residents. Elizabeth is also the joint founder of local charitable organisation, For Rutland, which raises funds to pay for specialist advisers at Citizens Advice Rutland who provide advice to people of all ages living with long-term health conditions in Rutland and the Surrounding Community.

“The Rutland County Show displays the best of the Rutland countryside and we’re proud to today be announcing that we have signed a partnership to be one of the event’s main sponsor for an initial three-year period. As a local organisation, we recognise the power of supporting our local community and we’re looking forward to supporting an event that puts sustainability at the forefront, with a range of local farmers and producers exhibiting,” said Jessica Mills, Chairman at MHR.

“We are absolutely delighted to have MHR as one of our key partners of The Rutland County Show and continue our close links with the Mills family who have been keen supporters of the Rutland Agricultural Society for many years now” Sophie Howsam, Show Manager at Rutland Agricultural Society.

MHR is offering three families the opportunity to win an entry pass for the day, worth £44. For a chance to win, please send your contact details to the Show Team: showteam@rutlandshowground.com. Names will be picked at random at 3pm on 2 June and the winners will be notified by phone.
