Rainbow Education Multi-Academy Trust selects iTrent to modernise and streamline operations

Rainbow Education Multi-Academy Trust employs around 500 members of staff across nine primary schools in Merseyside and the North-West.

Having outgrown its legacy system, the Trust faced increasing manual intervention across its payroll processes, particularly in complex areas such as pensions (TPS and LGPS) and absence calculations. With a growing workforce and evolving requirements, the need for a more education-focused solution became clear.

Following strong recommendations from other schools in the region, Rainbow Education MAT engaged with MHR to explore a more efficient approach. MHR’s education-first payroll capabilities, including automation of pensions, occupational and sick pay schemes, stood out as key differentiators, helping to significantly reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
