MHR appoints Chief Product Officer to accelerate customer-focused innovation

Kerry Crewe is promoted to Chief Product Officer at MHR

Kerry Crewe has spent 27 years at MHR across a range of roles, and will drive innovation and integration into the product suite.

MHR, the specialist provider of HR, payroll, and finance software, has appointed Kerry Crewe as the company’s Chief Product Officer (CPO) to accelerate innovation across the MHR portfolio, bring customer challenges to the heart of every product decision, and strengthen the connection between product investment and measurable outcomes for customers, such as employee productivity, retention and business growth.

Crewe has been part of the MHR business since 1999, and in that time, she has played a pivotal role as the company has evolved from an HR and payroll software company into a broader technology solutions provider serving HR, payroll, workforce management and finance. Her appointment as CPO will create stronger alignment between product and engineering teams, ensuring individuals understand how their work contributes to MHR’s vision of helping organisations cut through the complexity of disconnected systems and fragmented data, so information can flow freely across the business.

MHR’s enhanced People First platform is designed to achieve this. Crewe has been a crucial part of driving updates across the platform, which will provide leaders with the real-time intelligence to turn insight into action, and ensure managers can make confident decisions about their people, skills, absence, capacity and cost, while understanding the impact these day-to-day decisions will have across the business.

Kerry Crewe, Chief Product Officer at MHR, said, “I’m proud to take on the Chief Product Officer role at such an important point in MHR’s journey. In the last three decades, I’ve seen first-hand how our products and customer needs have evolved. My focus will be on bringing those needs even closer to our product decisions, while connecting product design, user experience and technology investment to outcomes that make a real difference for customers.

Our ambition is to make it easier for organisations to connect their people, financial and operational data, so they can respond with greater confidence.  I’m excited to help shape the next stage of People First and work with colleagues and customers to build products that support better decisions about people, finances and the future.”

Anton Roe, CEO at MHR, said, “Kerry’s appointment reflects the importance we place on building products around the real needs of our customers. From her years of experience across the business, we know she has the focus, collaborative mindset and discipline to ensure MHR is the connected intelligence platform trusted by organisations to make better decisions about their people, finances and the future.”

MHR’s World of Work 2026 event at Tobacco Dock on Wednesday 23 September 2026 will launch the enhanced People First platform and provide an opportunity to discuss where the industry is headed.
