St. George’s Weybridge chooses MHR to provide HR and payroll support
St George’s Weybridge, a leading independent co-educational Catholic school, has selected MHR to support the digital transformation of its HR and payroll processes.
Founded in 1869, St George’s prides itself on outstanding teaching and excellent facilities and needed an HR solution to match. Existing practices included manual data entry on spreadsheets and paper-based processes, which led to inaccurate reporting and inconsistencies across departments. There was also no way for employees to access pay information or perform simple actions like booking holidays through the school’s legacy system.
St George’s was attracted to MHR’s ability to automate tasks, reduce data entry and increase accuracy across all work processes, saving both time and money. An initial return-on-investment workshop conducted by MHR demonstrated a potential cost saving of £360,000 to the school over 5 years – funds which could be reinvested back into the students’ education.
Following referrals from three independent schools already using MHR’s services (Rugby School, Mill Hill School, and Bradfield College), MHR was chosen by St George’s to deliver its integrated HR & payroll, recruitment & onboarding, and performance modules, in addition to its automated Pension Data Service from iTrent.
Jo Lander, Director of Human Resources, St. George’s Weybridge, said: “We are pleased to be implementing MHR’s solutions to optimise our HR and payroll systems. Not only has MHR demonstrated to us the incredible cost savings that we can benefit from, but we have also received fantastic feedback from other independent schools already using MHR’s services, giving us the confidence that we have made the right choice.”
Anton Roe, CEO, MHR, said: “The education sector is one in which MHR has extensive experience. Having already successfully worked with schools across the country, we know the benefits that iTrent can bring and we are well placed to support St. George’s HR and payroll needs. We’re looking forward to working together with the school as we integrate our solutions to help optimise its operations, and secure significant savings for St George’s to invest back into providing outstanding teaching to its students.”
