MHR Global expands headquarter facilities and creates jobs
A four-storey car park has opened at the headquarters of HR, payroll and analytics provider MHR Global – the latest development in the group’s current expansion programme.
This £4.5million, 190-car site based at Ruddington Fields Business Park in Nottingham offers free, safe, and stress-free undercover parking for employees who travel from all over the Midlands.
The secure and spacious car park features electric vehicle charging points and a solar panel roof which supplements the power consumed on site.
The building expansion project began with the opening of Wellington House which houses MHR’s software teams, followed by a £3million refurbishment of Britannia House completed last year, providing a modern open plan working environment for up to 350 employees.
More than 100 new specialist employees have joined MHR this year with a further 30 new roles to recruit within the next quarter.
“MHR has continued to welcome new customers from across the UK, Europe and APAC in 2020, bucking the trend of the global downturn, leaving MHR optimistic and ambitious about the future,” said Chairman John Mills, pictured with Executive Vice Chairman Jessica Mills, with Tom Sewell and Mark Wakeford, Regional Director and Managing Director of Stepnell, which built the car park.
“The market for next-generation HR, payroll and engagement solutions is buoyant, and in the current environment it’s good to know our success is creating new jobs for the East Midlands, around the UK and beyond,” he said.
“Thanks to a number of factors, including a talented and innovative workforce who work hard to truly understand the needs of our customers, a sustainable and independent financial model, and a healthy demand for automated solutions that remove the headache of old fashioned manual processes, MHR is in a strong position with a positive outlook for 2021.”
“As well as investing in new facilities that offer excellent environmentally-friendly credentials and free secure parking, we have continued to invest in employee development to attract the best HR and analytics talent to serve our customers, and we are proud to have gained rather than lost headcount in this most challenging of years.”
“Around 20% of annual revenue has been invested in new product development as we push forward with leading software. This includes our increasingly popular pensions data service which streamlines monthly pension processing, supporting all recent and forthcoming changes to pension processing legislation, netting more than 100 large customers this year.”
“Our strategy and vision are clear and on track to achieve another year of double-digit growth in 2021. Our employees are the people who are making this happen and we are delighted to open this new facility to ensure our growing workforce can enjoy stress-free parking.”
Mark Wakeford, managing director at Stepnell, said: “We are really pleased to have completed another significant project for MHR. It is our fourth project with MHR in the last four years, and it is great to work with such a well-known major employer within the East Midlands. We have previously carried out both new build and refurbishment projects for MHR and this latest project is a testament to our strong working relationship with the company. MHR is committed to creating a great environment for its current and future employees and we hope to partner with them again the future.”
