MHR donates £1,000 towards breast cancer charity fundraiser
In May, Head of Sales Support at MHR, Claire Pegler, will be participating in the 15.1 mile MoonWalk event in London, organised by breast cancer charity, Walk the Walk. Claire is raising money for the charity after her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer early last year.
Claire will be joined by her MHR colleague, Sarah Large, Head of Pre-Sales at the company, and close friend Sara Chapman.
In aid of this, MHR has pledged to donate £1,000 towards Claire’s campaign, demonstrating its commitment to support the fundraising efforts of its employees.
The company has a track record of supporting charitable causes, last year sponsoring friend of the business Andrew Osborne’s row across the Atlantic Ocean in memory of his daughter for Cardiac Risk in the Young.
On the donation to Walk the Walk, John Mills, Group Chairman at MHR, said: “Claire’s commitment to this important cause is an inspiration to all of us at MHR. We wholeheartedly support her participation in the MoonWalk event and stand united with her in the fight against breast cancer.”
Claire Pegler, Head of Sales Support at MHR, added: “It feels wonderful to have the full support of everybody at MHR. I am extremely grateful for the financial contribution the company has made and hope it goes a long way to fuelling the fantastic work done by Walk the Walk.”
