For all interviews, the first thing you’ll do is have a 20-minute call with our talented Recruitment Business Partner team, this will usually be via Microsoft Teams and a date/time that suits you. The objective of this call is to learn more about your career history, reasons for applying, and your understanding of the role, and for us to tell you more about MHR and the position. This is an ideal opportunity for you to ask any questions you might have. After this call, if you have been successful we will be in touch to book you in for a First stage interview.
At this stage, we’d invite you to a more formal interview, which normally takes place in our offices lasting 60 minutes, and would include at least two interviewers (usually the Hiring Manager and the Recruitment Business Partner).
Their objective is to delve a little deeper into your skills; these could be technical or non-technical depending on the type of role. We recommend preparing to talk through your experience, covering any gaps in your career history, and talking about your skills and achievements that lend themselves well to the role you’re applying for
This is a great chance for you to learn more about the team, how they work and what your day-to-day tasks might include.
The recruitment team advises you to prepare by researching MHR and make sure you’re comfortable with the job description and the key requirements needed for the role. Also, know your CV! It sounds like a strange concept but you will be required to talk through your experiences and sometimes question dates! And of course, make a list of questions that you want to ask us.
The interview is made up of skills and culture add. They will explore your experience, and delve into your career moves. This interview is all about your working environments and how you would fit into the culture of the wider team and the business. Finally, we would hope you know our business and the role well enough to interrogate us, what do you need to know before you leave the interview to help you make the right decision?

Emily Glover, Head of Talent and Resourcing
Emily has had a long career in agency recruitment and finally made the move to internal recruitment with MHR in 2018. She’s helped hundreds of people kick-start their careers with MHR and is proud of the recruitment team as they all see the importance of the candidate’s journey.
Kate Bentley, Talent Acquisition Business Partner
Kate has worked for MHR for 10 months. She started her career in an agency and moved to in-house recruitment 8 years ago. She loves getting to know people from all different areas of the business and is really proud of seeing the amazing people she helps recruit excel and be happy in their roles. Outside of work, Kate spends time with her 3 daughters and pony.
Rosie North, Talent Acquisition Business Partner
Rosie has been with MHR since September 2021 and has over 10 years of recruitment experience, she's even obtained a CIPD level 5. Rosie is passionate about finding great people great careers and outside of work, you can find Rosie spending time with her two girls. Megan Rogers, Talent Acquisition Business Partner
Meg joined the business in August 2022, with a 5-year background in recruitment. At MHR Meg is responsible for recruiting talent across commercial and professional services divisions and in her spare time is studying for a master's in international human resource management.
Dominika Maluga, Talent Acquisition Business Partner
Dom currently recruits for our Software and IT departments at MHR, since joining she has thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with the best tech talent of the future. In her spare time, Dom loves to travel and explore new places, whilst trying new food and learning about different cultures.
Oliwia Stepien, Junior Acquisition Business Partner
Oliwia recruits for Managed Services at MHR and recently joined the recruitment team, however, she has a vast amount of experience in the Managed Service Department. Oliwia likes to travel in her spare time and is passionate about getting the best out of people.

Working at MHR
I have worked at MHR for 6 months as a mid weight graphic designer. I enjoy being part of the marketing team, and bringing my own creativity. When I joined MHR, being a profoundly Deaf British Sign Language user I was intrigued as to how I would be accepted, and my interpreter. However, right away I knew I would fit in, be accepted and felt confident to pursue my career here.

We have a formal dress code at MHR.
When you send a CV to us, we aim to get back to you within 2-5 days. The length of the interview process itself is up to you as we’ll send you a scheduling link each time. Generally speaking, our Time to Hire (the period of time from application to accepting an offer) is around 20 days.
We receive a high number of applications for every role, and we respond to everyone regardless of whether we progress or not. If you’ve had at least one interview then we will give specific feedback via the phone.
