Leading UK service delivery partner transforms its HR to improve processes and recruit talent
MHR’s HR and payroll platform will boost Cennox’s digital transformation and fuel 2021 growth
Cennox, a service delivery partner to many of the world’s leading brands, providing nationwide installation programmes, ongoing maintenance, custom signage and tailored security solutions, has announced a partnership with MHR to automate its HR and payroll tasks.
The partnership will accelerate its digital transformation and fuel its growth plans for 2021.
By enabling the business to save time, improve its recruitment processes and expand the use of data for managers, Cennox is even better placed to continue to seize new opportunities in the new year.
With 310 UK employees, plus 350 across Europe and 330 in the US, Cennox operates from five UK sites and is diversifying and growing rapidly.
The business’s complex HR and payroll considerations were brought into sharp focus during the pandemic, which led to Cennox conducting a competitive tender for its HR and payroll processes, won by MHR’s iTrent solution.
Central to Cennox’s digital transformation strategy, iTrent goes live this month with payroll, recruitment, absence and self-service. Performance reviews and check-ins will follow from January.
For Cennox, the immediate benefits include saving time – no longer is there the need to transfer data from different systems into payroll – and a more modern and streamlined HR function.
iTrent’s added functionality will also provide more management ownership of overtime, leave and performance reviews, improved employee communications and the ease of being able to access monthly payslips online, with the same pay date for everyone across the Cennox UK business.
At a time of rapid diversification for Cennox, iTrent’s recruitment function will also prove valuable, enabling the business’s new recruitment manager to improve the quality of applicants by stepping away from generic public-facing recruitment platforms.
“The iTrent platform is straightforward to use, being intuitive and user friendly,” says Jennifer Spencer-Lee, Cennox UK HR Director. “The added features of workflows and improved manager self-service will reduce the admin for our HR team and help us focus on training and more strategic HR work, where we can add the most value for Cennox.
“We were surprised at how much more we could get with MHR, including iTrent’s additional recruitment solution and bringing all our absence together into one system. iTrent will also help us communicate with our employees via the iTrent carousel, which may eventually replace our monthly newsletter.
“As well as giving our employees more confidence in payroll, automating HR and payroll through iTrent will save our teams a lot of time. Having everything in one place makes all our HR and payroll operations easier and more efficient.”
Anton Roe, MHR CEO, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Cennox on board. In particular, we’re looking forward to supporting Cennox and their HR transformation and enabling their workforce as the business continues to grow and diversify.”
