Scottish Friendly Assurance Society, one of the UK’s largest mutual life offices, has partnered with MHR to streamline its HR functions and deliver better recruitment, payroll, and pensions data solutions for its people.

Scottish Friendly previously relied on a series of manual systems and processes, so the mutual organisation has now decided to integrate MHR’s People First HR, Talent, Workforce Management, Learning, Recruitment & Onboarding solution, as well as its Pensions Data and Admin Service and Transactional Payroll product, after seeing the full benefits of these solutions. The firm was also reassured by MHR’s excellent reputation in the market.

Charlene McSherry, HR Manager at Scottish Friendly, said: “After working with MHR in a previous role, I was confident that the team could offer us a better approach to our HR and people management processes. While we were attracted by the capabilities of MHR’s People First platform, the company also demonstrated excellent due diligence during the procurement process. We have been equally impressed by the guidance and professionalism that the MHR team has shown so far, and we look forward to developing our relationship as we integrate People First into our business.”

Anton Roe, CEO, MHR, said: “With a rich heritage of 160 years, Scottish Friendly is a progressive and forward-looking organisation. They were seeking to integrate the latest in HR and payroll technology into their operations, so I am very pleased that they have chosen People First. This is a fantastic win for the MHR team, who have worked hard to impress Scottish Friendly with their knowledge of the sector. We are excited about growing this relationship over the coming months and years.”
