MHR achieves ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management certification
We’re delighted to announce that MHR has achieved an Environmental Management System certification to the ISO 14001:2015 standard – a significant sustainability milestone and a first for the company.
ISO 14001:2015 is an internationally recognised standard that sets out the framework for an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). This achievement highlights our commitment to managing our environmental impact, minimising risks, and driving continuous improvement in sustainability across our operations.
The certification process involved an audit and assessment of MHR’s EMS by global assurance partner LRQA. The auditors concluded that our system is effective in supporting our environmental policy, achieving our defined objectives, and generating reliable data for fact-based decision-making. Many individuals across MHR contributed to this success, showing teamwork, dedication, and alignment with our company’s environmental goals.
Peter Cash, Head of Business Assurance, Risk and Compliance at MHR, says, “This certification is a proud moment for MHR, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. It demonstrates the strength of our Environmental Management System and reinforces our dedication to minimising our environmental impact while supporting our customers’ sustainability goals.”
What does this mean for MHR and our customers?
- For MHR: Achieving this certification to the ISO 14001:2015 standard clearly demonstrates our responsibility of environmental stewardship. It provides us with a robust framework to continually improve our environmental performance year on year.
- For our customers: This certification is a stamp of approval that assures our customers and partners that we are committed to sustainability, meeting global environmental standards, and reducing our environmental footprint.
What’s next for MHR in our sustainability journey?
Achieving ISO 14001:2015 certification is just the beginning. Looking ahead, our focus will remain on making meaningful contributions towards a greener future. We aim to build on this success by further reducing our carbon footprint, exploring innovative ways to enhance energy efficiency, and promoting sustainable practices across our supply chain.
