A Picture Perfect Restaurant Opening

Monday morning saw the long-awaited opening ceremony of the brand new Britannia House restaurant. The morning gave all employees based at the site the opportunity to explore the new space, whilst sampling the new menu along the way.

The new restaurant has taken 18 months to construct, and has been a significant investment for the company. Great time and consideration has been taken with the decoration, furniture, fixtures and fittings in order to create a modern, stylish and inviting space for dining and discussion.

John Mills, Chairman, thanked all of the parties involved in the build, including the architect - Simon Gee, the builders - Stepnall, project managers - Gleeds, external interior designers - Richard Bond and Jamie Hempsall, Olive Catering - Debbie and her team, the new Chef Manager, Wayne Shooter, MHR building managers - Steve Bocock and Nigel Featherstone, and Jessica Mills who had overall responsibility for the interior design and fulfilment.

Who's Who Competition!

The opening ceremony comprised of a special private preview of 21 long standing MHR employees where a wall of their portraits in the style of Julian Opie was revealed! For a bit of fun, a quiz was devised for all MHR employees to try and match all 21 long-standing employees to their picture. Whoever completed the quiz in the shortest time won a bottle of champagne.
