Independent foodservice contract caterer Wilson Vale is laying the foundations for future growth by modernising its HR and payroll processes in partnership with industry experts, MHR.

The transition to MHR’s market leading cloud based iTrent system combined with SAP Business Objects, will see the Leicestershire based company, which employs 750 staff working across a portfolio of 95 customers in the corporate, independent education and conferencing sectors, unite its core HR and payroll functions on a single platform and embrace new digital methods of working.

This will support the management of its employees through the  streamlining and acceleration of many core administrative tasks, including payroll, while enhanced reporting capabilities will provide critical business insight across the organisation as it continues its expansion.

Furthermore, new self-service functionality will greatly enhance engagement levels at Wilson Vale by empowering managers and employees in their working roles.

Melissa Wallbank General Finance Manager at Wilson Vale comments:

“Our business is all about fresh food, created and served by happy, motivated people so anything we can do to support their work is a worthwhile investment. We recognise the need for more efficient software for our HR team and a more robust package for payroll. It is critical that our infrastructure is in tune with our ethos of looking after people and giving them the best possible support behind the scenes.

“Investing in iTrent will accommodate our ever-changing needs and help to future proof our business by implementing best practice processes to support our teams as we continue on our steady growth path.”

Anton Roe, CEO at MHR comments: “We are delighted to have a new partner in Wilson Vale as it looks to bring its HR and payroll processes right up to date.

“iTrent provides the perfect platform to support Wilson Vale’s continued growth, enabling them to benefit from  more efficient processes, improved reporting capabilities and new levels of engagement through self-service, all of which will benefit their growing client base.”
