After working together for a decade, MHR has secured a five-year extension to its partnership with the University of Huddersfield.

The former Times Higher Education University of the Year will continue to benefit from MHR’s iTrent and iTrent Document Manager solutions.

Set up in 1992, the University of Huddersfield brought together several polytechnics that had converted to universities. The organisation employs more than 2,200 permanent employees and has used iTrent since 2013. MHR’s solutions also support the payment of an additional 700 people each month, including visiting lecturers and part time hourly paid staff.

At the beginning of the relationship, the University of Huddersfield was seeking a solution which would both save time and improve security around sensitive documents, as well as offer a self-service functionality for its people.

Stuart Preston, Head of Reward and Information Systems at the University of Huddersfield, said: “We’ve worked together with MHR since 2012, and we’ve seen first-hand the positive impact its iTrent solution has had on our HR and payroll processes. Since first partnering just over a decade ago, we’ve waved goodbye to endless paperwork and have embraced iTrent and the significant time savings it provides. It’s a great tool - intuitive and secure and was easily integrated into our existing HR functions – so it’s only right that we made the decision to extend what has been a particularly fruitful relationship.”

Anton Roe, CEO of MHR, said: “There’s no better evidence of the integral role MHR can play than when a customer chooses to extend their relationship with us. The University of Huddersfield has seen the benefits of using iTrent, streamlining HR and payroll practices for a decade now. Therefore, I am delighted to extend our partnership and help them drive further improvement”.
