As with many companies, MHR has been unable to connect with customers and prospects through face-to-face events. Normally we host our own showcases, attend large-scale exhibitions and networking events, but this year they’ve either been cancelled or moved to digital events. Our teams really enjoy meeting people and helping them with their business challenges and being unable to do this has been difficult.

With this in mind, we looked at exploring how we could host our own summit, showcasing our new products and services and arming our customers with the skills and knowledge to move into the new year with confidence. And so, the MHR Virtual Summit was born.

Taking place from 23 to 25 November 2020, the summit ‘Power Up Your Business in 2021’, brought together 40 speakers over three days covering topics across the areas of HR, payroll, learning and finance.

Our in-house experts were joined by guests from leading media outlets including Accountancy Age, Generation CFO and HR Curator, to industry experts, partners and customers. We were also delighted to have Ex-England Rugby Coach; Sir Clive Woodward join us to deliver our keynote address.

During this free event over 1,000 customers and prospects joined us, watching a total of 63,000 webinar minutes - you can see the full Summit in numbers in the infographic below!

There were two tracks, one for HR, payroll and learning professionals and another for finance professionals. Covering topics from the digital workplace and the future of payroll, to efficiency in finance and planning analytics.

We also discussed the results of our new Loyalty Index and Efficiency in Finance research reports as well as some of our leaders discussing their predictions for 2021 ahead of the publication of our 2021 trends report. This was topped off each day with an open house session for attendees to ask any of their burning questions.

Here are our top five sessions:

1. The Digital Workplace: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

MHR’s Chief Delivery Office, was joined by Futurist and Scientist, Katherine Templar Lewis, HR Analyst, Ben Eubanks and Susie Wilson, HR Director at the Plan Group to talk about the impact of the pandemic on the digital workplace, some of the issues faced by organisations, and the barriers of an effective digital workplace of the future.
