The annual campaign is run by the regional radio station to ensure that every child in the East Midlands has a present to open on Christmas Day.

The East Midlands has some of the highest child poverty rates in the country so many children face the prospect of waking up Christmas morning with no presents to open. Mission Christmas aims to collect gifts from radio listeners and local businesses to distribute through organisations who work with children.

This year MHR employees, both office-based and remote, have shown their generosity by donated no less than 430 gifts for children between the ages of 0 to 17 years old.

Graduate trainee Beth Fear managed the campaign for MHR and said: “I’m delighted we have donated for a second year to such a worthy local cause. We’ve smashed our target and doubled the number of presents compared to last year. I’m so overwhelmed by the generosity of my colleagues, thank you so much to everyone at MHR who contributed to our Mission Christmas campaign.”
