Blackwood Homes & Care selects MHR to transform HR and Payroll efficiency across the employee lifecyle

4 May 2022, Nottinghamshire – Blackwood Homes & Care, a leading national housing and care provider specialising in high-quality accessible living for older people and people with disabilities, has selected MHR International, the HR, payroll and finance expert, to transform the efficiency of its HR processes as it embarks on a new five-year growth strategy.

Implementation of the MHR iTrent platform will allow Blackwood to leverage an integrated, modular HR and Payroll solution that streamlines operations and improves accuracy and efficiency through automation, greatly enhancing the experience of 550 staff working at different locations across Scotland. Accessible from any location and across desktop and mobile devices, the platform will drive improvements across HR, payroll, recruitment, and reporting.

MHR has also been selected to provide an intuitive self-service employee solution to enhance all elements of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to offboarding, alongside a manager self-service solution for all Blackwood line managers.

After recognising that its previous legacy system could not keep pace with business growth, Blackwood needed a labour-saving system to drive time and efficiency savings across HR processes. It opted for MHR’s iTrent as it was able to provide the flexibility and scalability required to grow with the organisation as it embarks on an ambitious five-year strategy to build 400 new accessible homes and grow its independent living services. With over 10,000 hours of care at home already delivered each week, Blackwood knew that as it continues to grow it needed to be underpinned by the most robust systems and processes to ensure a consistently high level of service.
