Affinity Trust streamlines HR and payroll processes with MHR

Leading provider of support for people with learning disabilities to deploy iTrent core HR and payroll modules to improve data sharing, efficiency, and collaboration

15 February 2022, Nottingham – Affinity Trust, a national charity that supports over 900 people with learning disabilities and other complex needs, has selected MHR International, the HR, payroll, finance, and learning expert, to streamline and automate its HR and Payroll processes to enrich the experiences of frontline staff and enhance its key services.

With over 25 years’ experience of supporting people to live independently, Affinity Trust found that many of its systems were still heavily paper-based. This presented challenges for its dispersed workforce of more than 2,300 employees, which are mostly based in the many locations where Affinity Trust supports people so MHR’s acclaimed iTrent system was selected to increase the visibility and accessibility of data and reports across teams.

Employees and managers will now benefit from intuitive and streamlined user experiences through cutting-edge core HR and Payroll modules, including onboarding and performance management, which can be delivered through MHR’s platform. The new system ensures that staff have greater control over their personal details, timesheets, and holiday booking, while enhanced visibility and accessibility of data will better enable strategic decision making across the organisation.

“With our staff teams located around the country and our Head Office and managerial staff now operating within more agile working models, we needed an integrated HR and Payroll system that was accessible, flexible, and easy to use,” said Stephanie Relton, HR Project Manager at Affinity Trust. “MHR’s iTrent system will support us to meet the needs and objectives of Affinity Trust, both during and beyond our digitisation journey, which means ultimately we will improve the service we provide the people we support.”

The partnership with MHR will drive the organisation’s wider digital transformation, improving data processing in line with evolving legislation. Greater efficiency and faster access to key information – while maintaining robust safe data practices - ultimately enables teams to focus on delivering a consistently high quality of service to the people they support.

Anton Roe, MHR CEO, said: “We’re extremely pleased that Affinity Trust has chosen to use our iTrent solution to streamline its HR and Payroll processes, which is part of a significant change in the ways of working for the charity. Our platform is ideally suited to support agile organisations just like Affinity Trust that see the value in innovation, so I’m certain they will reap the benefits of this integrated, flexible, safe, and collaborative platform to make the lives easier of their frontline staff.”
